“For the duration of my stay I felt transported back to the Berlin of the 1920s!”

I was drawn to the art‑deco vibe and 1920s feel, and the room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. The spot in the city center is surprisingly quiet, and the staff were friendly—one even helped me lug my suitcase down the stairs and let me ride the historic elevator. I did have to wait a bit for the room, but I could chill on the sunny balcony next to the breakfast room, so the delay wasn’t too bad.

I really appreciated the old charm and history of the hotel, especially the antique furniture. The breakfast was tasty and the breakfast room was cozy.

The hotel is a truly original stay in the Belle Époque apartment of silent‑film star A. Nilson, and you instantly feel transported to another era with the period interior. It’s just a few steps from Kurfürstendamm, and the original elevator from the turn of the century makes for a real adventure. The staff are super friendly and always helpful. The bathroom in our double room was cramped and a bit hard to get used to.
