The accommodation is close to the starting point for the chimp trekking. We had booked five rooms, and each had a water issue. Only two rooms had hot water, which came out brown with solid residue even after running it for more than five minutes. Other rooms had no water in the sink, shower, or toilet. During a storm, one room flooded due to a large leak in the roof, ruining the mattress. The remaining vacant rooms were in terrible condition and were not offered to us, so a couple had to share a room with a third person, and when we asked for a refund they denied it. Breakfast was very basic; we only had toast with butter, and the butter was moldy. Disappointing at every turn. We arrived early to rest and wake up for the chimp trek, but with all the problems we couldn’t shower or rest (we went to bed at one in the morning after talking to staff who offered no solution or answer). Absolute lack of maintenance—don’t be fooled by the photos.
