The beds were very uncomfortable, and my wife couldn’t sleep on them. The hotel clerk offered sofa pillows to put on the bed, which didn’t help. We had to leave after one night.

The hotel has a historic feel, and the restaurant and lake‑side rooms offer a beautiful view of the lake and greenery. The staff are as loving and pleasant as in very few other hotels I’ve seen. Breakfast is truly great. The rooms are quite small, as are the bathrooms, and the price is a bit high for the type of rooms it offers.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The service was a little slow, which seemed to be because they were understaffed, but the food quality, selection, and presentation were first‑class.
