The spot is spot‑on – right in the middle of everything – but the building feels like it belongs in another era. The room was grimy, the bathroom had a toilet that clearly hadn’t been flushed properly, and the sheets were speckled with hair. There was no top sheet, just a thin blanket that made the night feel sweltering, and the pillows were old and flat.

The hotel’s location is convenient, but you’ll have to skip breakfast altogether and deal with the fact they don’t issue electronic invoices. Nothing else was particularly noteworthy.
