“Beautiful property”

Beautiful property, huge rooms, away from the chaos of Benaras but easy enough to commute to the old city. Has an exceptional momo place mere steps away so meals were sorted. They do provide basic breakfast. Property is full of trees & we could luckily witness most of them bearing fruits!. They lock up the hotel at night & you are completely dependent on the housekeeper to go out, so setting out in the wee hours of the mornings was delayed for us (by a good 1/2hr!) Breakfast provided is very basic - bread, jam, omelettes & tea

“Obviously everything is just basic - it has great potential - but it looks and feels neglected”

Breakfast is very basic—just bread, an omelette, tea, and cutlery. Everything feels neglected, though the potential is there. The beds and blankets were clean, except for a spare pull‑out that smelled of urine. The bathrooms need much more cleaning; a single night might be tolerable, but no one would want to stay longer. It isn’t exactly a cheap option.

“High in price but low in facilities.”

There was only one person on staff, but that person was extremely helpful given the circumstances. There are no professional staff, no housekeeping, and no boarding facilities except for tea. You have to rely entirely on food delivery apps, which take a long time.

I was given early check‑in because of an online seminar, and breakfast was served right away when I arrived. The host was perfect and warm, making it feel like a home away from home. I’ll definitely come back soon.
