“The place have a good potential if the price was appropriate to what was offered.”
The spot on the edge of Torre Del Paine National Park is great if you have a suitable car and are ready to tackle tough roads; during the six days I spent there I learned to drive them and enjoyed the spectacular views. The place was okay, simple, and the staff were very attentive. However, the difference between what they charged and what was actually provided was outrageous. The complex looked more like a farmhouse turned into a simple dining room and lounge. The rooms were a set of pavilions on the ground floor; each room was small and simple, with a comfortable bed, a place for a suitcase, and a private bathroom, but no seating area, refrigerator, or coffee-making facilities. To get coffee you had to go to the main building, even in the rain, and pay for it. The manager said that, unlike large hotels, they offer more personal and attentive service, but in the five weeks I traveled through Chile, Argentina, and Spain, their service was no better than typical big or small accommodations. I would accept simple lodging if the price matched what was offered.
