The location was great, but the bathroom left a lot to be desired.

The place is nicely situated in the backwaters and looks pretty, but we didn’t stay long. There’s no food service except breakfast, and no nearby restaurant, so the only option is to order from outside. This spot might suit motorized travelers better. Communication was harder because we don’t speak the local language. The room was decent but rather basic.

The venue was stunning, the staff were friendly, and we received a discount on the boat service. The room had a slight musty smell, and hot water only works with solar power, so on rainy days there’s no hot water.

“Not at all satisfied. No dustbin inside the room, no facility for tea or coffee inside the room, no toothbrush or tooth”

It appeared to be cheap accommodation and didn’t justify the price. We had to shorten our stay because the facilities were poor.

I recently spent a stay at Kayaloram Resort near Poovar Isl, and it was unforgettable! The location was ideal, just a short walk to the pristine beach with breathtaking views of the Arabian Sea. The tranquil surroundings and peaceful vibe made it perfect for relaxing. What made the experience even better was the owner’s hospitality—they were incredibly welcoming, warm, and attentive to every detail. Whether suggesting local attractions, arranging transport, or ensuring our comfort, the owner went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well maintained, with a cozy feel that matched the coastal charm. The food at the hotel was delicious, offering plenty of vegetarian options, which was a big plus for me. If you’re after a spot near Poovar Island that blends comfort, convenience, and exceptional hospitality, I highly recommend this place. I’d gladly return for another stay!
