The hotel’s location and amenities were solid, and the river view was lovely. Staff were courteous and accommodating, parking was plentiful, and I felt secure. Cleanliness, however, was a serious flaw: the room had a strong odor, likely from cleaning chemicals or recent pest control, and spider webs were visible on lamps and in the bathroom, suggesting the room had been unused for months. The toilet seat cover was badly stained, and the fittings were poor. The road to the property was rough, though it’s less than 100 m from the main road and had ongoing road works. Fixing these problems would make the hotel one of the best value in town.
