The jungle around is beautiful. I took my first trip and ended up on the wrong road because the sign pointed right, yet the right road climbs steep hills to a few other houses; my car barely handled the 30‑degree ascent. I only stayed one of the three paid nights because I couldn’t get cash that first day—my main card was drained and the backup card was rejected by all ATMs—so I left. That was not the hotel’s fault. The road in was a bit rougher than a smaller car would normally manage; drive slowly since there are spots where a rock could damage the underside, especially for smaller cars.

The place is impossible to reach without a car. We couldn’t stay there.

Colmar’s service was very good; he took care of a payment issue and always responded. José was also very friendly, always attentive and smiling. The surroundings are the best—a lovely green environment. The cabin needs urgent maintenance; while it’s rustic and the price is very reasonable, the deterioration is obvious. It’s important to know that rodents reach the cabin—do NOT leave food!
