A cozy hotel with a perfect location, staff who help with everything and are incredibly friendly. The only downside was the mattress and pillows being a bit too firm.

“Pallazo Gilistro is a fabulous place to stay in Ortigia.”

Breakfast was good. We loved the location on the pedestrian street near Duomo plaza, with super restaurants and attractions nearby, and everything was within walking distance. Nothing negative.

Muy buena la ubicación y la amplitud de las habitaciones. Tuvimos falta de agua por un tema de presión en las instalaciones del hotel. Anteriormente falto agua en la ciudad, luego de que esto se soluciono el hotel continuo sin agua y no pudimos bañarnos ese día. El vallet parking es complicado ya que hay que ser muy puntual sino se va y demora 1 hora en volver. Nos falto $ qué dejamos en el auto

“2* experience for 5* price”

The pillows were comfortable, and the bed linens and towels were clean; the front‑desk staff were pleasant. However, this place isn’t a four‑star hotel. We were shocked upon arrival, feeling ripped off by the price we paid. The room and public areas need a full redesign and deep cleaning. The overhead shower didn’t work, and some grout and faucets in the bathroom required replacement. A dirty blanket with a hole was left on the wardrobe floor, and a student‑dorm fridge sat on the floor—so low that you had to sit on the floor to make coffee, using a dirty cup and two instant Nescafé sachets. It’s Sicily, but where’s the espresso machine? The old TV had only basic cable. Light fixtures were stained and the furniture looked worn. The shared lobby area was depressing and needed a complete overhaul. We skipped breakfast because the breakfast room was bleak; why not serve it on the lovely outdoor third‑floor terrace with a service area? The front‑desk staff were very pleasant, but overall the property is not good—there are better options in Ortigia.

“Fanstastic property backed up by sensational warm welcoming people. Grazie mille”

We stayed in a massive penthouse on level 4 that was lift‑accessible and beautifully equipped. Francesca and Bernadette were absolutely fantastic, doing everything we could ask for. The property sits just off Piazza Archimedes, right in the thick of everything. Very happy with our choice. Nothing negative.
