“Ideal für einen Kurzaufenthalt im hübschen Odense”
We stayed at the Milling Hotel Mini 19 while passing through Sweden. For that purpose the accommodation was fine. The hotel was conveniently located near the train station and the pretty city center, yet very quiet. The rooms were simple, functional and fairly compact—but we had booked a “Kleines Doppelzimmer.” In that sense it offered everything needed for a short stay. The bed was comfortable, although quite narrow and therefore more suited for newly in love couples. We arrived relatively late in the evening and couldn’t find a parking spot at the hotel. However, a paid Q-Park was within walking distance. A music festival that took place in the evening right next to the hotel did not disturb us further. For sensitive guests, earplugs were provided at check‑in. Breakfast was served at the neighboring partner hotel and was perfectly adequate. Additionally there was a free coffee machine. Originally intended as a mere overnight stop, Odense turned out to be a worthwhile town to visit—with a lively gastronomy and nightlife scene. The bathroom was clean but tiny. Initially confusing was that there were four Milling Hotels in the same street, and it wasn’t clear at first where the check‑in should take place. We travelled with a dog, which was allowed upon request. The cleaning fee, while legitimate, seemed disproportionately high to us.
