“Nie wieder!”
The location was fine, but nobody was on site and all contact was only by phone. The place was neither clean nor inviting; I’d have preferred to leave immediately before even getting inside. When we finally got the key, nothing improved: the door was almost impossible to open, the floor was damaged, the curtain no longer hung fully in the rail, pictures were broken, and that was just the first impression upon entry. Damp walls, a catastrophic bathroom with obvious black and other mold, a dripping shower, an unclean door that wouldn’t close, a faulty toilet flush, broken seams, a moldy smell that couldn’t be ignored, loose sockets, and no smoke detector in the room. The mattress was super thin, so we could have slept directly on the slatted frame. The bedding was partially pulled to the left, with a hole in the sheet. One window was completely open upon arrival. And those were just the obvious issues. If we hadn’t had an important appointment, I would have left straight away!
