The apartment sits in a very quiet area, just a 10‑minute walk from the train station. It’s small but cozy and tastefully decorated, and there’s a supermarket right under the building. The terrace is there, but it can’t be used because it has no furniture. The sliding door window lacks shutters or a blackout curtain.

“Sehr schön aber nicht im Sommer”

The flat was centrally located in Schiedam, with train connections and shops right nearby, and the room had enough gear. The terrace got cozy in the evening… Communication through Booking worked smoothly. Everything was set up for exactly four people, except the toilet paper ran out on the last day. Getting up and down the stairs was a real challenge. When we arrived, it was already 34‑37 °C outside, and we only had two fans for the apartment; the terrace door couldn’t stay open at night because the generator/ventilator there made loud noises every five minutes. There were no seating options on the terrace, probably because of the generator, and no proper curtains meant the room was already bright by 5 am, so catching up on sleep was impossible.

The beds were good, as were the sheets and towels. Parking is available nearby, though not in the parking garage. There wasn’t enough dishware and cutlery for a four‑person stay, and there was no wardrobe. It was very hot and couldn’t be cooled; the fan on the first floor was extremely loud and only pushed hot air around. Trying to sleep with the balcony door open was nearly impossible because the fan from the adjacent underground garage on the balcony would jump up every 5‑10 minutes and was very noisy. One day the underfloor heating was set to 29 °C (probably the neighbor’s fault). The stairs are extremely narrow and steep—carrying large luggage up and down is a real struggle, especially for older people or solo female travelers.

“A comfortable and charming place for a week stay or longer”

I loved everything about the place—great location, well maintained, fully equipped. The bed was comfy and the floor was warm. I’d definitely stay here again. The Wi‑Fi, however, kept dropping out and reconnecting on its own; I decided not to bother the landlord because it somehow worked eventually.
