Hotel Indigo Florence by IHG

Fresh and good location.

The room was huge, gorgeous, and super comfy, but the pool water was chilly.

The staff were friendly, but the property sits beside a busy road and walking to it at night feels uncomfortable because you have to pass the central train station.

I stayed close to the historic center.

Breakfast was decent, but the toaster was broken and the coffee tasted bad. The dining staff were very friendly, while the reception was a bit indifferent—no one greeted you when you walked in. The room and hotel décor look nice and the place is well kept, except for the poolside grass, which is dry from the heat; they patched it with artificial turf, but covering the whole area would look better. The pool is a good size, the furniture around it is fresh and attractive, and the ping‑pong and foosball tables next to the pool are great for kids. The hotel isn’t in the best spot, but it’s a 10‑minute walk to the center, which is fine. The minibar is free and they refill water daily, which is awesome.
