The landlady at this property was incredibly kind and helpful. The accommodation was modern and very clean with lovely extra touches, with very modern finishes and a very clean bathroom and carpets. It was very quiet and peaceful here. We liked the colour toning, for eg even though the cups and kettle toned. Nothing

Location was the best thing about the stay. No parking available but expressed parking on their website. Mattress was old and we kept rolling into the centre of the bed throughout the night. Cups were stained

The location is fine, but the photos on the site are from previous owners and the hotel looks nothing like that now. I’ve visited Kenley many times when Tony and Mike owned it, then Josie, and it was pristine back then. There’s no bar; I was told to “go outside” for a drink, and even soft drinks were unavailable. The bar area has been converted into another bedroom. There’s no housekeeping and no staff around; the only thing you could do was call a phone number for any help. My partner and I were the only guests, and we left after one night—never again.
