It was a nice escape into nature and calmness, but the beds were uncomfortable, basic toilet accessories were missing and no water was supplied, and the breakfast was poor.

The host was A+, and you can ask them to arrange transport if it’s your first time; everything else was fine.

It’s a real adventure, truly off the beaten path, so you must be prepared to give up comfort and convenience; it’s far from the beach and the road is bad.

“Un bel endroit”

Joseph and his family were very welcoming, kind, and helpful; the atmosphere was friendly; the pool and lush garden setting were great; breakfast was very good. The access road is a dirt path with holes, bumps, stones, and little lighting, making it inconvenient to return by tuk‑tuk or taxi. The accommodation price fluctuated: I first booked 4 nights for $100. Since my itinerary wasn’t fixed, I added a night just in case (5 nights, $112). Later my travel plans clarified and I switched back to 4 nights, but the price jumped to $180!!! I cancelled because it seemed exorbitant. I searched again and the price dropped to $144 for 4 nights, which was nothing like the original booking. Still, I booked because we fell in love with the place.

“Really really nice stay.”

The staff were very friendly and I loved them, and the animals there were great; the interior was quite plain but it was great value for money.
