“We enjoyed staying, but property limitations were problematic”
The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful—definitely making hospitality feel real. Our beds were comfortable, the AC worked, and breakfast was very good. The location is convenient for visitors: easy access to the Trans‑Canada Highway, with stores and restaurants nearby. Wascana Park is just up the road, and the grandkids enjoyed the Royal Saskatchewan Museum and Saskatchewan Science Centre, both easily reachable from the hotel. Despite a few glitches, we would stay again. The biggest issue was that the “handicap room” we were assigned turned out to be a fiction; it only had an emergency phone in the bathroom and no tub, so it was not handicap‑accessible. The staff moved us to the property’s only handicap‑accessible room after the first night, which was appreciated even though it added inconvenience. Another concern was that after a long day we returned to find one of our two rooms had been left propped open by housekeeping. Fortunately nothing was missing, and the manager did his best to “make it right,” but it was still unsettling. The swimming pool was closed, but the property gave us fair advance notice and tried to offer alternatives. Public swims at Regina pools are rare because of lessons and other booked programs.
