The dining room was lovely, the evening meal tasty, and the location convenient; even the corridors felt cozy. The room’s abundance of coffee, tea bags, sugar, and milk, plus a hot towel rail and a mysterious computer‑controlled heating system, were appreciated. I only stayed one night, though I think a two‑night stay would have been better.

The location was good for getting to the station to travel into Edinburgh, but the staff’s demeanor was off and the bathroom in the room was less than desirable.
