The location by the sea and the chance to sit outside by the shore were great. I liked the quiet and the wildlife!

“Great. Shelter Cove is a very small and remote village on the coast... Very peaceful.”

We loved the location of the property. Our room had a balcony where we could sit in the evening and watch the ocean and the sunset. The room was spacious and very clean. The key code to our room was either texted or emailed to us, so we had to figure out how to get into the room on our own.

“We will be back.”

The proximity to key activities was nice; we didn’t have to drive if we didn’t want to. The photos online are outdated—there are no longer stairs that go from the property to the beach.

“An old and kind of dirty place with a stunning view.”

The view was beautiful, and we enjoyed listening to the ocean from the apartment. The cafe was delicious. The bed was small and pretty hard. The shower didn’t drain well, so you had to stand in a pool of water while showering. There was dog hair on the floor and furniture. The kitchen wasn’t very well stocked. Some windows had broken screens or no screens at all. The deck boards were super old and missing screws, so they were at different levels. The bathroom window looked out to dumpsters.

“Loved the vibe”

I loved the view! The staff were kind and eager to help if needed. Having the little cafe downstairs was great. The only bummer was the beach access; for me it was fine, but my aunt with bad knees found it hard to get up and down to the beach. Aside from that, it was a perfect getaway!
