Breakfast was good, even better than most, but there weren’t enough plates, bowls, or basic items; no soup or cereal spoons at all, which is a problem for grown‑up big boys like me who can’t eat cereal with a teaspoon. The staff kept washing plates and silverware by hand to hand them out to waiting guests; we were there for three nights and saw this every day. The staff deserves a lot of credit for working around a manager’s shortcomings. Most hotels, including international ones, usually offer a complimentary bottle of water in the room at some point during the stay.
