The accommodation and location were lovely, and the pool was great, but the restaurant and bar were somewhat basic; the staff were friendly, though not outstanding.

The pool was nice and the cottage was decent, but there was no air conditioning. The location was good. The beds felt quite low and small, almost like a kids’ room.

The house and garden had a truly fantastic atmosphere, with a thoughtfully chosen décor that used materials well and preserved original beams during restoration; the garden was carefully laid out and included animals that entertained our little girl, and parking was safe on the premises. The pool and pétanque court offered plenty of entertainment, the breakfast was delicious and generous, and a fully equipped communal kitchen was available. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. It was a superb stopover, and staying longer than two nights would have been worthwhile. The only downside was that the room was fairly warm upon arrival, there was no air conditioning, but we managed to ventilate well at night; window curtains would have helped. We knew there was no lift, and moving luggage up was a bit of a hassle. There are also two garden rooms.

The table top was broken, the fridge door turned the wrong way, and the windows had no blinds. The cottage really needs some attention.
