I loved how they greeted me and helped me connect with local events; they quickly gave me info about dance, percussion, and candle classes in the area, plus beaches to check out! The house was super cozy, clean, family‑friendly, LGBT+ welcoming, and the common area was gorgeous. The neighborhood is beautiful, very quiet, and has a market nearby. I would have loved to stay longer!

I’ll warn everyone before renting: the place seems normal on the app, but once you enter it’s completely different. The bathroom is damaged, the tap can’t be used because it drips everywhere, and the deposit is just a façade; they take it anyway, damage things themselves, then blame you to recover the deposit, and if you don’t do the cleaning they want you to, they’ll charge you again. Plus the bathrooms smell bad right when you arrive, meaning no clean house is waiting for you because other people use it and don’t leave it tidy. Don’t rent it—seriously, you’ll lose those 200,00 for free.

The place is a solid pick – a private room that’s comfy and priced unbelievably low. The owner is genuinely friendly and makes you feel welcome. The only downside is the street noise that seeps in, but that’s just part of staying in a big city.

Staying at the Dance Hall puts you right in the middle of everything: I could walk to Pelourinho, the supermarket was just around the corner, and the famous Travessas snack bar is next door. The room was spotless, with fresh towels and crisp linens, and the vibe felt upbeat; staff member Nalati was especially attentive. All in all, it’s a perfect budget-friendly spot and I’ll definitely be back.
