Breakfast was adequate, but the coffee was undrinkable. The Michelin‑starred restaurant was a let‑down, feeling dated with no atmosphere or pleasant ambiance; the staff were friendly but not warm, and the very young crew tried hard, but rattled each dish on the plate. I didn’t find it star‑quality; some dishes were truly bland.

We stayed in the annex opposite the restaurant: a building with little character and a dated interior, yet functional. The bathroom seemed recently renovated. Free parking behind the hotel, a private terrace, a lovely shower, a good bed, a tasty and generous breakfast, and, importantly, fast internet – all good. The door to the room jammed and the toilet didn’t always flush properly, but that was not a big deal. Netflix or HBO on the TV for non‑French speakers would be a nice upgrade.
