I managed to relax in a quiet setting and the parking lot was spacious, while the hotel staff were genuinely wonderful and the room was clean. Unfortunately my research missed the fact that the large public bath was under renovation, and the toilet paper didn’t fit the holder, causing a loud rattling noise every time I pulled a sheet, which was startling.

A decent hotel in a great spot near the castle and garden, overall a comfortable stay. The breakfast, however, didn’t suit my western palate and was pricey for what it offered.

The place is clean, the staff are cheerful, and it’s right across from the cherry blossoms with great views. The beds are a bit firm.
