The atmosphere is nice. The hotel needs renovation. Everyone else was checked in at 3:00, but they kept me waiting until 4:00. I was willing to pay extra for early check‑in—what is with this stubbornness? There is construction next to the hotels, but the hotels aren’t to blame for that. The pillows are terrible; now my neck hurts, and I’m going to see a chiropractor.

The location is good. I kept getting double charged by the property and it took a week to resolve the issue. They also don’t have fridges and microwaves.

We absolutely love the history of the hotel and the beauty they’ve preserved. We will be returning. We didn’t have the best view this time, but we should have asked for something different.

The staff greeted us warmly and we enjoyed strolling through the lobby and mezzanine, and our room was spotless and cozy. The only downside was the awful view—just the tops and sides of buildings across the street, with no glimpse of the city.
