The hotel has a large property and the rooms are newly renovated and nicely decorated. The young man at the front desk was very helpful. The restaurant experience was unpleasant for both breakfast and dinner; it took almost an hour to receive our meals each time. At breakfast, which was included, we were charged for plain drinking water after we declined the free or paid juices. That’s annoying—why pay for basic drinking water that’s already provided in large quantities in the room? Not everyone drinks sugary drinks.

The hotel is located outside Windhoek, surrounded by greenery in a charming setting with a pleasant terrace restaurant, a popular spot for locals. Breakfast was excellent, the staff friendly, the room clean, perfect for a short stop and to start the journey. There was no heating, but the heavy duvets were good, as in most lodges and small hotels in Namibia.

My colleague and I were assigned Rooms 5 and 6, and both felt freezing; even with the AC set to maximum, the rooms didn’t warm up. The heating system clearly needs attention because it was uncomfortably cold.

The restaurant, staff, and food are all nice. Some rooms are small but comfortable enough. It’s a good place to stay overnight. A personalized welcome note in the room after the sixth visit would be appreciated instead of a generic one.
