“Nobody stay here!”
I glanced at the property and left. The place was unclean, and the kitchen and bathroom were located separately from the bedroom.
“just about passable, good communication, but very basic and uncomfortable”
I had good communication with the owner before arriving. The room was acceptable for a budget stay and probably reasonable for two people, though one side of the bed was right against the window, which made access difficult and didn’t feel cost‑effective for me alone. The full‑length mirror was great, and the room had a kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge (with freezer), was close to a shop, and offered free street parking. The biggest issue that lowered my rating was the uncomfortable bed and the fact that the curtains couldn’t be opened to look out the window. The large window ran all the way to the floor next to the bed, so people walking on the pavement could see right into the room. A suggestion would be to block the bottom half of the window so you can still get daylight and look out the top part without being seen. Even the back window isn’t safe to open the blinds, as someone could climb in from the yard. The room layout felt odd; they made the most of the space but it didn’t work well. The lockbox for the keys was a nightmare to use, with numbers hard to see. Overall, I didn’t find the accommodation very comfortable and it made me uneasy being so close to the outside path and having to keep the blinds down all the time.
“Clean, convenient and good facilities.”
The room featured a handy kitchenette with kettle, toaster, microwave, two‑ring hob and fridge, and both the room and ensuite were very clean.
“Great value!”
Great value for what we needed.
“Clean and adequate for the price”
The property was clean, but the bed was narrow for two people; it would have been better to have two single beds. The pipes were very crackly, and the basement noise made it hard to sleep.
