“Nice-ish hotel without nice service”
The lobby looked nice and the bed was decent; breakfast offered a good variety, though nothing remarkable. The room wasn’t clean—dust on switches and toilet‑roll holders, worn tables with old marks, and open windows made it humid while the air‑con was too cold and hard to adjust. Elevators were slow, filthy with cigarette ash, dirt, and trash on the floor, and the delivery robot even tried to push me out of the elevator queue! 😂 Staff’s English was poor, disappointing for Shanghai, and the check‑in counters were cluttered and messy with no one helping with bags. They seemed rushed and panicked, giving a local‑hotel vibe rather than an international brand’s quality.
