“good place to stay in Guayaquil”
very central
“great location very central my 3rd time on this trip staying there. Owner and staff are excellent”
The hotel sits in a central spot and is impeccably clean.
“it was an exciting part of the city to be in”
The place is well situated but can feel a bit scary at night, like most of Guayaquil except for the fenced-off Malecón. Inside the hostel is completely safe, my room was spotless, and I appreciated the complimentary morning coffee. I enjoyed having a balcony to watch the outside bustle. The staff were very attentive and helpful. For the price, I couldn’t find anything I disliked. This isn’t an American hotel, so don’t expect that style; having traveled widely across Latin America, this was one of the better ones. The only drawback is the lack of safes, but I wasn’t too worried because the front desk is manned and you can only be buzzed in by the manager.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the air conditioning and TV work great, and the lighting is just right. The pillows, however, are extremely firm, making it hard to fall asleep; softer pillows would be a welcome improvement.
“Excelente ubicación, habitaciones sencillas.”
The location is very close to government offices, the bay, the Malecón, and parks. The area feels somewhat unsafe and noisy.
