“Best place to stay in Pasikuda !”

We had an amazing stay at The Calm Resort & Spa in Pasikuda. From the moment we arrived, every staff member was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive, going above and beyond to make us feel special. Ten and Malet were fantastic, and a gentleman who helped with our bags—though I can’t recall his name—always greeted us with a huge smile, making us feel at home. The resort itself was beautiful, spotless, and pristine, the perfect place to unwind whether we wanted great food, a relaxing massage, or simply sunbathing on the gorgeous white sandy beach. Everything was peaceful, beautiful, and luxurious without feeling overwhelming. We couldn’t fault it and didn’t want to leave. Thank you to the whole team for making our stay so special; we would love to come back.

“Hotel Resort + playa + entorno de ensueño. Un remanso de paz, relax y tranquilidad. Lujo asiático”

El resort está delante mismo de la playa de Passikudah. Una playa especular de arena blanca, con un mar precioso que en el mes de agosto está como una balsa. Playa bordeada por la típica vegetación tropical, con lo que el cuadro resulta paradisíaco. Y con poquísima gente. En cuanto al Resort, si bien no es de estos súper lujosos, se puede considerar fantástico. Cómodo, habitaciones amplias y bien decoradas, la nuestra en planta baja con salida a la piscina (súper piscina) y playa. Restaurante con bufet exquisito que cambia todos los días. Masajes top. Y personal amabilísimo. Nosotros pasamos en familia tres días enteros de total relax y ensueño. Tras años de viajes, la Combinación hotel Resort+ entorno resultaron maravillosos, difícil encontrar algo de este nivel. El no habernos quedado unos días más para poder disfrutar del lugar

The resort is gorgeous and luxuriously appointed, sitting on a stunningly clean dream beach. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed a wonderful Ayurveda massage at the on‑site spa performed by Kavitha. Breakfast and dinner were served buffet‑style, offering everything from donuts to local curry, though we’ve tasted better food elsewhere in Sri Lanka.

“Da ginge mehr - OK, aber würde auch nichts versäumen, wenn nicht dort”

The beachfront location, tidy garden and lively beach bar with tasty drinks and food made a good impression, and the team seemed very eager to assist. The entrance area is nicely constructed, giving a view over the pool and garden out to the sea, and there were always free loungers because it wasn’t crowded, mostly locals on holiday. The beach bar deserves special mention for its staff, décor and menu. However, pre‑arrival messaging was slow (2‑3 days), so we were lucky to arrange a transfer elsewhere, and my query about snorkeling was never answered. Large ants emerged from a nest behind the shower tiles while I was bathing, and a staff member sprayed a strong pesticide that left me uneasy, though the ants were gone. The pool, while large and attractive, has hidden steps and sharp edges underwater that are hard to see. The buffet fare didn’t appeal to us, and on day 2 we took a tuk‑tuk to a nearby spot. The extra bed for our daughter was uncomfortable and even dangerous, with broken metal bars that cut our legs twice.
