“A gorgeous, scenic getaway from it all”

Everything about our stay was top‑class—more like staying at a wealthy relative’s home than a hotel. It was cosy, spotless, and the location in Leenane was breathtaking. The evening meal was the highlight: pre‑dinner drinks and canapes in the drawing room, then conversation and sensational food shared with guests from around the world at a large dining table. An extensive drink selection was available, and you could simply write what you took into a ledger. No TVs or phone scrolling were allowed. Absolutely nothing was lacking; I’ve stayed in many places and never found a better one.

Almost everything was great, especially the friendliness of the reception staff. The only downside was that at the host’s table we didn’t always want to talk about fishing in English for the whole meal.

“Lovely place”

The place is beautiful and the house is cosy. The staff are very friendly and the food is divine, so I can’t recommend it enough! The only issue is that some of the furniture needs refurbishment.
