Located in Forest Hill, it's 10 minutes' walk from Blackburn Lake Sanctuary and 10 minutes' drive from Box Hill Town Hall. Spacious rooms feature flat-screen TVs, complimentary Wi-Fi, refrigerators, and desks. A kitchenette, laundry facilities, and spa bath are available in select apartments. Breakfast is served in the Atrium Cafe.

The Canterbury sits near a shopping centre, the room is spacious with a very comfortable bed, and the Executive Queen room was very quiet facing the inner courtyard with no traffic noise; staff were friendly and helpful, making for a comfortable stay if you’re visiting the Eastern suburbs. However, more maintenance is needed: my room had a broken lamp and chair, the carpet around the edges could be vacuumed better, and the shower needs deeper cleaning.

I got good value for money and easy access to nearby malls and public transport, though the hotel shows its age; the rooms remain comfortable and clean.
