Thanks to Namal and family – we had the most wonderful stay here! It was the ideal spot for us on the Pekoe Trail as we split stage 19, and arranging transport to the Stag from Hangiri Ella was easy. Namal did everything to keep us comfortable and went above and beyond when we hit transport issues on the trail. The food and homemade juice were also divine!

“Awesome Homestay Opportunity”

I stayed at a homestay that felt like a genuine Sri Lankan family experience, with Mum, Dad and three energetic kids welcoming us warmly. The bedroom was immaculately clean, super comfy, and offered a breathtaking view from our private balcony. We dined on a delicious home‑cooked Sri Lankan dinner while watching the sunset over the valley and hills. The homestay sits right on the Pekoe Trail, so we walked Stage 18 and part of Stage 19, making the next day’s hike easier. I’d highly recommend this beautiful place and the chance to stay with such an awesome family!

“Best Pekoe Trail accommodation!”

Staying here was a delight! The views are absolutely stunning, and it’s worth the extra mile to reach this spot on the Pekoe Trail. Dinner and breakfast were homemade and truly tasty. You basically have your own tiny house with everything you need. The family welcomed us instantly, making us feel right at home. If you’re hiking the Pekoe Trail, this place is a must‑stay—after a long day it’s the perfect reward, especially watching the sunset from the balcony!

I enjoyed my stay at Stag Mountain resort. The room offered incredible views, and sitting on the balcony was lovely. It was the best sleep I’ve had while hiking the Pekoe Trail. The bed was comfy, and tea and coffee were a fan‑favorite! The owner was extremely helpful, even going to the shops and cooking dinner for me, and he arranged accommodation for the next night. It was about a 2 km detour for those on the Pekoe Trail, but it was worth it!
