“A good stay but we would have very much preferred to have someone on duty when we arrived”

Breakfast was very good, and I liked the pleasant staff on duty. The room was comfortable, even though I had to cross a fire‑escape corridor to reach the very large, luxurious bathroom. The crossing fully met all our needs while driving from the North Coast 500 back to England. I didn’t like the management setup: there was no one on duty when we arrived, as it was a self‑entry system with texts sent shortly before arrival. We were a bit thrown off, though we had been notified when booking about how the system worked. The off‑site manager was very helpful when we phoned about our entry method.

“Stylish and clean, but some might find it impersonal and expensive.”

The interior design was stylish, the place was clean, and the location right by the station was convenient. The bed was very comfortable with excellent bed linen and luxurious towels, and the seating area had bay windows. The decoration was beautiful and the furnishings high quality. However, there was no staff at reception—only a video to view—so it feels more like self‑catering with optional breakfast, but without the usual facilities and at a higher price. Privacy was lacking; I didn’t mind it, but the lack of blinds in the bathroom (only frosted glass) was disconcerting. The bathroom was extremely sleek but felt more form than function.

The room was gorgeous and bright, and the bed was super comfortable. It was very noisy during the day, but at night it stayed quiet.

“Good quality accommodation with efficient self check in.”

The place was warm, comfortable, and had good facilities. Breakfast was excellent. We were looked after very well and would definitely recommend it to other gravel bike tourers.
