The staff were friendly and super helpful—big shoutout to Chacha and Kate, bless them! <3 The place is perfectly situated within walking distance of the Sunday Market and local temples, and there are plenty of food spots, a 7‑11, and cafes right around the corner!

The vibe was great, and the staff were extremely friendly, making me feel taken care of; one of them even greeted me each morning in Māori! The beds and shared areas were spotless, and the hostel was quiet—exactly what I wanted. The location was fantastic, right next to the Sunday night market that the staff recommended, and close to many cool temples. I also liked the simple fruit, toast, and coffee they offered. Overall, great value for money. The downside was that my room was on the fourth floor with no elevator, so the three flights of stairs were a bit of a workout if you have mobility issues. The locker was also a bit small for my 50L suitcase and 25L backpack, whereas lockers at other hostels I've stayed at have been bigger; I guess I just packed a lot.
