Parking was good. The receptionist was polite and made booking easy. Breakfast was average; coffee should be brewed fresh. I was charged for gin that I didn’t order with my evening meal; I asked about it but was dismissed. The bar and restaurant were extremely noisy. Residents were drunk, singing at 3 am, and a dog was barking. One staff member was dismissive.

A warm, friendly welcome. The rooms were comfortable and the bar and restaurant area were nice. The food was pleasant but not outstanding. I booked a second night and it was really noisy. There’s no phone in the room to call reception for help.

The room was spacious, comfortable, and spotless. Dinner was lovely. It’s close to ferries to the Isle of Arran. Breakfast could have been better.

When I used the toilets at breakfast they were in disarray – not clean, no toilet paper in the cubicles. A party had been held in the event space the night before. Cleaners should be sent in early to refresh the space after a big event.
