We stayed in a Quonset and were pleasantly surprised. It was very basic inside but immaculate. We stayed overnight to visit Great Sand Dunes NP and loved the drive‑in movie; it rained but the film kept playing, and the staff supplied chairs and audio for viewing inside. Free popcorn and the nicest staff! The location is close to Great Sand Dunes but feels like a ghost town; no food is served beyond basic snacks and drinks, so we drove 10‑15 minutes to the nearest town and brought back a pizza.

The place was a magnificent spot to sleep, located right in the middle of nowhere, 45 minutes from Great Sand Dunes. The surroundings felt magical with a star‑filled sky. Our suite was splendid, and the bed was the most comfortable we’ve ever had. The area was incredibly quiet. Bring your own food, as there isn’t much nearby (Center City is a 6‑minute drive). Remember to bring utensils; otherwise you’ll need a quick trip to town to get them. A microwave is in the room for warming meals. Instructions to access the room are sent by SMS and are clear. Free parking is available. Note there’s no Wi‑Fi (you can manage without, I assure you) and no fridge in the rooms. There’s an outdoor cinema, but only on weekends. Overall, I recommend the place 100%.

“Cute stat”

The concept of stars and a movie is great! However, when you search on maps the address isn’t accurate—it just shows a field. The AC and hot water weren’t working.
