The staff were friendly, the place clean, unique, professional and wonderful, but the mattress and pillows left something to be desired.

The hotel sits in a stunning spot overlooking the lake, with beautiful grounds and facilities, yet the service is terrible—from lazy poolside staff to an unresponsive concierge and reception. I asked for specific info to make my anniversary memorable, but the online assistance ignored my dining and gift requests; when I confronted them, they lied, claiming to have responded, and forwarded old messages instead of the ones I needed. It’s a shame such a great location is marred by such awful staff.

The heritage feel, views, and pizza restaurant are great, but the place is flooded with tourists rather than hotel guests, and the pool on the lake is off‑property, requiring a cross of a public road to reach it.
