The breakfast and sleeping room were good, but the hallways and room carpets badly need to be replaced; they smelled and are dirty/stained. The morning desk clerk, when we checked out, was very nice, accommodating, and apologetic about our situation. We stayed two nights. On the first night, we put the “do not disturb” sign out and left it until we showered and dressed the next morning. We left the room at about 10:00 a.m. and put the “clean the room” sign on the door handle. We walked down the hallway to leave and told the maid that we were leaving for the day and she could clean the room. She did not respond but just looked at us. We returned to the room at about 8:00 p.m.; NO ONE HAD REPLACED THE DIRTY TOWELS, EMPTIED THE TRASH, LEFT TOILET PAPER, OR MADE THE BED!! We went to the front desk to get towels, etc., and tell them what happened. The clerk WAS NOT apologetic and BLAMED US for the room not being made up. He claimed the maid said the “do not disturb” sign was on the door. We kept telling him that was not the case, and he kept ARGUING with us. He finally said that the maid does NOT speak English and that they are not a full‑service motel (whatever that means). Why is she working in the motel? I guess very cheap labor. The clerk fussed with us and kept blaming us. RUDE and unbelievable!! We would never stay at this place again or recommend it.

The location really stood out for me; it’s easy to reach and surrounded by many points of interest. The building is nice and cool, which is a great contrast to the heat outside, and I liked the big mirror behind the beds that shows how the lights are placed. The microwave and mini‑fridges could use some attention—they look a bit worn in the rooms I’ve stayed in for the past two years, and the extension cord to the microwave looks out of place.
