Quality Inn Covington

“Just okay”

We chose this hotel because we had a concert in Atlanta and wanted to explore Covington, so the location was perfect. A Walmart nearby made shopping convenient. The pool water was green and I didn’t think it was safe to swim, yet it was listed as an amenity. Breakfast was very mediocre with almost no protein. Overall, the place felt run‑down: most outlets were loose and my phone wouldn’t charge in many of them. The worst part was housekeeping. We didn’t know they were cleaning daily, so when we returned from Covington the door to our room was unlocked— we panicked thinking someone had broken in. They had come in to clean and only made the bed, took out the trash, and left the towels. They didn’t bring new towels or new trash bags, and they took the used soap without replacing it. When we spoke to staff, they said they usually return later to bring towels and such, but admitted the door should have been locked. We went out again and when we came back we got new trash bags and clean towels, but still no new soap. I’m just relieved no one entered our room while we were away.

“Beds were uncomfortable. Lost a phone in the room that's never been found.”

The location was close to my family. The beds should have been Queens instead of the hotel double. I lost a phone in the room and housekeeping said they didn't find it, which was the only place it could have been lost.

“I recommend that no one EVER stay at this hotel. Go to the Days Inn on Alcovy Rd one exit west.”

The location was convenient, but the coffee was disgusting—reheated, watered‑down, burnt coffee that no amount of cream or sugar could fix. The yogurt, boxed cereals, and oatmeal cream pies were unimaginative. The only thing that had any merit was the waffle maker, but with Waffle House right next door, why bother? We asked if an early check‑in room was available and the manager told us to return when one opened. We came back about 30 minutes after the time given, and the room was still not ready. The housekeeper cleaning the room was nasty and loud when the manager asked her about it, gave us dirty looks, and made passive‑aggressive remarks that felt slightly threatening. She clearly needed a drink or something. We then waited another 30 minutes while we were told to allow an extra 15 minutes for the floor to dry. When we finally got into the room, I immediately needed the bathroom and found a pile of dog crap behind the door—what was that even doing there? (The poop was obviously not from my dog, who was still comfortably sitting in my air‑conditioned truck). The A/C barely worked, and even though we asked for another room we were denied and told our payment of $100 plus a $35 pet fee was non‑refundable. We were forced to sweat through a hot summer night in a $135 room on the second floor with no weatherstripping on the door, so you could see people walk by even with the door closed, and it smelled of mold, cigarettes, and broken dreams. 10/10 recommend that this place be bulldozed!!! ~KicRoks!
