Hotel Central, centrally located in Göttingen’s pedestrian Old Town, offers bright, individually furnished rooms with private bathrooms, work desks, cable TV, and fax. A quiet garden and free Wi‑Fi enhance comfort. The rich buffet breakfast starts each morning. Within a 10‑minute walk are the train station, university, St. Jacobi Church, theaters, and shopping. A7 motorway lies 5 km away.

The staff were very friendly and the room was quiet, right outside the courtyard. The breakfast buffet was lovingly prepared, and the location is great because it’s right in the old town. The mattress was quite worn out, but that wasn’t a huge deal.

The location is excellent and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Room 16 is a nightmare: the furnishings look cheap and makeshift, the desk is too low and offers almost no legroom, and the wobbling chair makes long work sessions unbearable. The outlets and cables are annoyingly placed in the foot area under the workstation. The TV is too small. The biggest issue is the bathroom hygiene: dust, cobwebs, wool mites, and a heavily stained shower curtain. The drain in the walk‑in shower doesn’t work properly, so the whole bathroom floods when you shower. On top of that, the exhaust fan is extremely loud with about ten minutes of after‑effect. For €95, including breakfast, what’s offered is completely unacceptable. Basic cleanliness, functionality, and comfort are not met. No recommendation. I won’t book again.

Breakfast got me going. The pictures on the booking site didn’t match the furniture made of plywood in the room. The parking spot is a few blocks away.
