The hotel sits a pleasant walk from the main street lined with cafés and restaurants, and we found the surroundings quiet and peaceful. Our room was spotless, and the staff—who were very friendly—cleaned it daily. The property is non‑smoking, and there’s a filtered water system for refilling bottles. We didn’t eat breakfast, so I can’t comment on that. Auro Mother Taxi was suggested for the trip to Chennai Airport, and they were excellent. On the downside, other guests arrived at 3 am and woke us all up. We paid for three guests, yet one of us only received a mattress to sleep on. There was no place to hang wet towels or swimwear after the pool, and nothing to sit on around the pool area. Mosquitoes were abundant, and the windows had no screens to keep them out. The toiletries felt chemically based, and the room felt damp because we couldn’t open a window.
