I never even passed by the place. The description clearly states that the property is 2.7 km from the center of Cemoro Lawang, but when I arrived, I discovered it was almost 70 km away. This seems like an easy way to trick tourists who want to stay in Cemoro Lawang to visit Mount Bromo. I tried to cancel for free, but the property kindly replied that the distance data are approximate. It’s not just about the 3 €, but arriving at a place and finding out you booked a room that doesn’t exist is not nice… I hope Booking takes action, because a quick search shows that this is not the only homestay that plays this trick.

The location was hard to reach from maps and untraceable. In the end, I had already paid a deposit for accommodation that I couldn’t find, and the money disappeared. The hotel phone number was also unreachable. My message: don’t be lured by cheap prices when the accommodation is hard to reach, otherwise you lose your money and have to find another place. The staff couldn’t help with the booking at all. I give this accommodation a poor rating.

The place is mislisted as being near Bromo, but it actually takes 2 hours by car, so it feels like a scam.
