The place, the house, the grounds… one of the most beautiful olive trees I’ve seen, the gentle waves of Jean Giono, the calm and serenity, the atmosphere steeped in past France and Provence—I loved chatting with Jacqueline, the water in the bottle in the room, and Odile’s breakfast is a marvel. Long live these guardians of the earth. The only drawback was the excessive décor items in the room and the inconvenient trash bin in the bathroom.

A charming guesthouse right in the countryside near Forcalquier, the place was perfectly quiet with a breathtaking view. The road was a bit tricky, but the payoff was worth it. Odile, our front‑desk host, took care of us, and the homemade breakfast was hearty and varied. Our room also had a small terrace on the roof where we could settle in.

We booked two nights, but our expectations were completely off. The reviews made it seem like a fantastic B&B, but it wasn’t for us, so we moved to another place.
