“Decepcionante”

The bathroom rod was broken and the hammock was torn, hanging on just one side. In the shared BBQ area we tried to use the fridge for our meat, but it wasn’t cooling at all – we almost lost three kilos before the host finally admitted it had been broken for a while and that the freezers in the rooms would be turned off. Communication over WhatsApp was a mess; he promised one thing and then charged another, and we never got clear info about who was managing the place.

“Fomos felizes na estadia e em corumbau”

My family and I enjoyed the place more than we expected – it isn’t as far from Corumbau’s tip as we thought, and the lady who greeted us was really friendly and flexible. The pool stayed nicely warm and a staff member showed up each morning to clean it, which we appreciated. Thanks for the hospitality!

The rustic vibe of the property is nice and it can comfortably host up to five people, which worked well for our group. However, getting the keys was a hassle because the communication system was confusing, and the shared kitchen felt dated and dirty with old utensils. It’s a decent spot if you don’t mind a few inconveniences.

The facilities are comfortable and the rooms feel decent, but the showers were cold and one of the toilet flushes didn’t work, forcing us to use an outdoor bathroom. The pool wasn’t properly cleaned – there was still grime at the bottom – and there were a lot of mosquitoes, so bring repellent. Also, the property is about seven kilometres from the Corumbau tip and far from the village’s commercial centre, which makes getting around a bit of a trek.

The room itself was spacious, which we liked, but the electric shower was burnt out and the taps had barely any water pressure, making even a quick tooth‑brush a struggle. It’s hard to overlook those plumbing problems despite the size of the room.
