We enjoyed a pleasant stay at Cruzeiro Guest House in São Filipe. The place was clean, the staff were friendly, and overall it was a nice experience. A big plus is the rooftop restaurant, a really nice spot that enhances the visit. The only downside was the bed—it was a bit small and not very comfortable for two people.

The location is quiet with an ocean view, just a 5‑minute walk to the beach. The mattress is very comfortable and the air conditioning is excellent.

The photos don’t show how good the place really is. The rooms and terrace offer a privileged view. The staff are friendly.

I was excited about the balcony view, but the card payment hiccup set a rough tone. After the issue was sorted, they promised a 20 % discount at their restaurant, yet from that moment on, no one was reachable. We were the only guests; they left right after check‑in and we couldn’t contact them through the booking messenger or the WhatsApp number they gave us. The restaurant seemed to be closed. On top of that, our bathroom door was broken and they assured us it would be fixed, but with them gone we had to live with it. I also asked if early breakfast was possible because we had to leave for the airport at 7:20, and I’m still waiting for a reply. We had to handle check‑out ourselves.

The room was huge and spacious, though a few hooks for wet clothes and towels were missing, which was fine. The bed was very large, the air‑conditioning worked well, and overall it was very comfortable. The hotel service was excellent, breakfast included, and there was the option to dine on the rooftop; they also offered laundry service. The worst part was the shower: the hose clip was broken, so we had to ask for a replacement from another room. We swapped it ourselves and left the broken clip in the other room.
