The stay was good, the room was comfortable, the food was nice, but the bathroom door was awkward and couldn’t open fully.

The hotel sits in a beautiful little town on Dartmoor with a lovely restaurant, bar, lounge, and walks right from the door; the staff were very friendly and incredibly hardworking, and the food was really good. The showers in the main rooms of the main building were fine but had limited headroom, making showering difficult; breakfast was great but the filter coffee was a bit weak. Minor issues, but the positives – especially the staff – more than made up for them; we’d stay again.

Advance info on location and car parking, the room, homemade shortbread, dinner, lounge bar, and breakfast were all great; nothing to complain about.
