“Surfer sur le tourisme florissant de l ile n est pas suffisent, il faut faire un effort !!”
The first confusion is that it’s called a “small hotel” even though it’s not a hotel at all… the overall impression is that it’s old, very worn out! The reception was just okay. The worst part is the bed, which urgently needs a new mattress.
“Correcta”
The location is convenient. The exterior was somewhat neglected, and the payment instructions I had provided—because it was a gift—were not followed.
Small, rustic, with super friendly staff, a family business, definitely no bling‑bling, and a dream breakfast under trees and palms. Unfortunately there is no option to eat there in the evenings, but that’s not a big deal because a few steps away in the town you can reach several really good restaurants.
“Calm and nice stay in the Tramuntana mountains”
The breakfast was simple but covered everything we needed; no extravagant buffet, just a home‑style, buffet‑style spread, best enjoyed in the quiet garden beneath the trees with homemade juice. Many mountain trekkers stay here, and Estellencs is ideal for a starting point. The place is very calm, and we were the only ones using the pool, which added to the serenity. We also liked the nearby restaurant Montimar, which serves amazing food and is recommended by Sa Plana. Because the hotel is so small, the coffee machine and other facilities are hard to use before breakfast, and the breakfast timing was a bit late for our taste. Cala Estellencs should be visited in calm weather; otherwise, the water is too rough for an ocean dip. It’s still beautiful, but in hot weather you might want to use the pool or drive somewhere else by car. Estellencs is a bit far from everything, which is great for a quiet stay, but a car is necessary if you want to go elsewhere.
The hotel is in the village of Estellencs, a magnificent place with careful décor and a paradisiacal outdoor setting. We loved our night there. The hosts are very friendly and the breakfast is superb. The bedding and mattress were not firm enough, which is a pity since otherwise there’s nothing to complain about.
