The place was very modern and tidy, and it came with everything needed for cooking breakfast and dinner. However, the amount of kindling for the log burner was insufficient for two days, so more should be provided.

It was really cute and felt secluded. Nothing could be criticized.

We never got the Wi‑Fi password before or after arriving, and it wasn’t in the welcome pack either. We spent the first two hours trying to reach the phone number listed in the pack but got no answer. When we finally called, the woman who answered didn’t apologise at all and seemed puzzled about how we had her number, which is odd since it’s repeated in many places in the pack. She then blamed a colleague who was supposedly in a rush to go on holiday for the missing Wi‑Fi, which is an unacceptable excuse for adults who need to work.

The hot tub was great and the staff were friendly, but the pillows were a bit too firm for my taste—I’d rather have fluffier ones.

I left my phone charger in the lodge, they found it, and they’re sending it back to me by post.
