The only transport offered was the airport shuttle. The photos on the website were misleading; when I changed my booking from two nights to one, the site confirmed it and asked me to pay 75444frs, yet the hotel demanded 105000frs, citing various excuses. There was no room service, only a single bottle of water and a towel. The ibis Douala feels like an old motel and is overpriced for what it offers.

The breakfast was enjoyable and the city was easy to reach. The staff were very polite and accommodating, and the pool area was clearly visible and attractive. However, the overall cleanliness of the property didn’t match the hotel’s status, the AC units were broken, the rooms were tiny with old toilets and bathrooms, and there was barely enough space for two people. The hotel had not been renovated recently, and the name change to Ibis didn’t reflect the reality. I booked a double bed room with a sofa, but the room had no sofa.
